Caption: Oblique aerial view of Shipham Quarry, Eddleston Valley, north of Peebles, Border Region.
Description: A coarse boulder gravel and fine to coarse, bedded gravel with beds of sand and silt constitute most of the deposit which is at least 25 metres thick. Much of the gravels show large-scale cross-stratification. Looking north. Moundy glaciofluvial (ice contact fan/delta ?) deposits are developed on the western side of valley. Dominant very large-scale cross-stratified gravel.
