Description: W. end of Neidpath Tunnel, Peebles. Section of stratified sands and gutta percha clays exposed by small landslip after heavy rain in March 1925. Slipped material overlies 2.4 m. of pale brown clayey sand with many angular and rounded stones. The lower portion of the section consists of 7.0 m. of finely laminated purple, brown and green gutta percha clays interleaved by thin seams of sandy clay (Lake clays of J. Geikie - 'The Great Ice Age', 1894, p.199).
