Description: | A very large professional operation worked for at least 150 years. The current worked face in Permian sandstone is 80m long and 20m deep, although the previous worked site is very much larger. Beds range in depth from 0.4m to 2m. There are some shaley partings, and many of the beds exhibit cross bedding, shown by black organic streaks. Overburden is less than 2m. |
