Description: | This is a large building stone quarry in Triassic sandstone. It is approximately 100m by 80m in area and up to 30m deep. There is less than 1m overburden. The bed depth averages 0.5m on recently extracted blocks. There are some black organic partings to 1cm, and green reduction bands. The grain size is variable from shale to coarse sandstone. |
