Description: | 900 m. W. of Pendoylan. Cardiff - Cowbridge Anticline. A general view eastwards along the eroded core of the Cardiff - Cowbridge anticline. The escarpments on the left and right of the photograph and in the distance are formed by gently-dipping Devonian and Carboniferous rocks. Triassic and Jurassic rocks occupy the eroded core of the anticline, the latter giving rise to the flat-topped hills in the distance. |
