Description: Satnall Hills, about 3/4 m. ESE of Milford. Looking N. The road follows a glacial overflow channel cut through the Bunter Pebble Beds forming the northern end of Cannock Chase. These have been worked in the large pit occupying the greater part of the photograph. Sandstones interbedded with the Pebble Bed conglomerates, have eroded tops (well seen in the photograph).
