Description: | 100 yd. S. Moorden near Penshurst Station. Looking NW. Jointing in the Ardingly Sandstone (topmost Lower Tunbridge Wells Sand). The massive sandrock is locally slightly current-bedded and composed essentially of fine white quartz grains. The jointing is very regular on two planes at right-angles to each other and to the bedding. |
