The foreground is composed of Thanet Sand which is seen to form a hollow in which current-bedded sandy gravel lies. One slope of the old channel is exposed by the ladder under the bridge on right of view. The Boyn Terrace is even-bedded. Rolled ovate implements of Acheulian type occur abundantly in this higher gravel. |
