Description: | Morte Point, Morthoe. Looking W. Cliffs flanking a 'zawn' in Morte Slates, at Morte Point. The cleaved slates are highly inclined to the south. The bedding is visible in the slates forming the cliff-face to the right of the picture. The inlet or zawn has been formed by the collapse of the roof of a former cave, and marine erosion has isolated the sea stack of the Morte Stone. |
