Shows the Lower Loam behind the figure surmounted by the Middle Gravel and current-bedded sand. A thin bed of the Upper Loam lies beneath the Upper Gravel. Hereabouts innumerable palaeolithic implements have been found in the Middle Gravel and especially at its base. |
