Description: | Maidlands Farm Broadoack - Brede. Ashdown Beds - Wadhurst Clay junction. A small pit section shows up to 0.6 m. of weathered basal Wadhurst Clay shales and siltstones, resting on 1.05 m. of fine, white and buff top Ashdown Beds sandstone. A thin Top Ashdown Peeble Bed is developed as a discontinuous layer of coarse sand ripples with occasional quartz and chert pebbles of up to 7 mm. in diameter. |
