Description: Netley Heath, Surrey. Looking SW. Netley Heath deposits: section in Mountain Wood. Section shows a roughly spherical mass of gravel, consisting of large battered flints, large boulders of Lower Greensand material, many small round flint pebbles, and small quartz pebbles, enclosed in a coarse red-brown sand, showing no sign of lamination or stratification. See Geology of the Country around Aldershot and Guildford (Mem. Geol. Surv.) 1929, pp.111,112.
