Description: Near Burcot Farm, about 2 m. W. of Wellington. Looking SSE-SSW. Wrekin range from the west. Features from left to right : The Ercall; Buckatree Glen; Lawrence Hill, overtopped by Maddock's Hill; the Forest Glen, the long 'Hog Back' of the Wrekin proper; and Primrose (Little) Hill. Cambrian Quartzite flanks the Ercall, Lawrence Hill and the north-western end of the Wrekin. Trias is banked against the central and south-eastern slopes of the Wrekin. The lower ground is occupied by drift on, probably, Keele Beds and the foreground is on the Uriconian rocks of the Wrockwardine ridge.
