Description: Summit of Ercall, about 1 1/4 m. SSW of Wellington. Looking S-SW. Panoramic view extending from Maddock's Hill to summit of Wrekin. Maddock's Hill 'Camptonite' intrusion in Shineton Shales overlying Comley Sandstone of the Golf Links to left of view. Wooded area of left foreground is on Comley Sandstone. Bracken area is on Quartzite and fir-clad area to right on Uriconian. The distant ridge is Carboniferous Limestone and the Little Wenlock Basalt flow on Lydebrook Sandstone which rests unconformably on Shineton Shales. The Wrekin ridge is Uriconian flanked by Quartzite and Comley Sandstone. [Key sketch attached.]
