Description: N. end of Wrekin, about 1 1/2 m. SW of Wellington. Looking NE. Lawrence Hill and the Ercall from near 'The Cottage'; the town of Wellington on Keele Beds? to left. The quarry is in Uriconian ashes etc. The bracken slopes to the right are on the outcrop of the Cambrian Quartzite. The junction between Quartzite and Uriconian runs practically along the ridge of the Ercall. The wooded ridge to the right is on Comley Sandstone and the Lydebrook Sandstone (Lower Carboniferous) comes in at the farm in distance on the right of view.
