Description: | River Ribble, Stainforth. Chapel House Limestone (Arundian). These limestones are exposed in the core of an anticline which is crossed by the River Ribble. They are thin-bedded and well washed grainstones, and contain small Lower Palaeozoic pebbles. They are the oldest outcropping limestones between the North and the Middle Craven Fault. |
