Behind the buildings are large areas of spoil from the mine levels. The prominent crag, crossed by the waterfalls is Force Crag, a hanging valley cliff of Skiddaw Group mudstones. Force Crag vein forms a conspicuous straight gully immediately to the right of Force Crag. |
