Description: | Bach Island, commonly called the 'Dutchman's Hat' situated off the south-west of the island of Kerrera, by Oban, Argyllshire. An island showing central flat-topped rock-crown surrounded by the 25 ft. raised beach platform. Similar to the 'Shepherd's Hat', the rim of the 'hat' is the wave-cut bench of the 25 ft. raised beach while the crown or central rock-nob of the island is the remains of the old cliff. |
