Description: | The Allt Conait above the hanging valley, Glen Lyon, Perthshire. Looking up Glen Conait above the 'hanging' part of the valley to the 'divide' between Glen Lyon and the Moor of Rannoch. The burn runs down a series of waterfalls just downstream from what was once Loch Giorra, now a reservoir covering both the former lochs Loch Giorra and Loch Daimh. The rocks are Dalradian Grampian Group quartzites (once thought to be much older Moine age). |
