| Description: | Balnaguard, 1.5 miles west of Logierait, 4 miles south of Pitlochry, Perthshire. The Balnaguard Burn flows down to the River Tay through thick deposits of glacially deposited boulder clay. The scar is undergoing active erosion by undercutting by the stream at the base of the cliff, this steepens the cliff and prevents vegetation growth, rain wash completes the erosion of the slopes into a series of rills and gullies separated by sharp spurs. The unprotected slopes will erode quite quickly. |
