Description: | Money Geo, Noss Head, Caithness. Fault between the Noss Head Formation and the Castle Sinclair Formation. The geo has been formed along the fault rock, part of which is seen in the foreground. Fault within flaggy siltstones and sandstones of the Ham Skarfskerry Subgroup (Caithness Flagstone Group, Middle Devonian). Regularly-bedded flagstone seen in cliff on right, but rocks on left cliff and in foreground are disturbed and locally shattered. Line of weak rock extends through gap in distance. |
