The section shows poorly sorted calcite-cemented gravel consisting of sub-angular to rounded pebbles and cobbles, mainly of Carboniferous Limestones and sandstones, up to 19 cm. long. The large clast above the hammer head is of fine-grained Carboniferous sandstone. The section is beside the brick arch on the right of Photo. No. L2526. |
