Broad glaciofluvial fan of coarse gravel laid down at the mouth of Coire Garbhlach. Note pale scarp of sand and gravel where fan has been eroded by present day River Feshie. Alluvial plain of River Feshie in foreground. Lateral moraines of the Glen Feshie glacier above the fan. Meall Dubhag, to left of Coire Garbhlach, largely made of granite.Other hills made of Grampian Group psammite (metamorphosed sandstone). |
