Description: Stronchrubie Cliffs, Inchnadamph, Sutherland. Thrusting in limestones of the Durness Group, showing imbricated structure (see No. C6 half-plate). Limestones of the Grudaidh and Eilean Dubh formations (Lower Cambrian) of the Durness Group are repeated by several thrusts. The thrust planes are marked by thin grassy ledges in the photograph. The bedding planes, joints and thrusts have been opened out by solution, causing the development of karst topography in the area behind the hill scarp.
