Description: | The Storr from the south. Skye. Part of the Trotternish lava-scarp. Landslipped lavas and Jurassic sediments form the ground to the right of the escarpment. The escarpment and the Old Man of Storr are seen in profile. The Old Man of Storr and the slipped lavas and Jurassic sediments form the uneven ground to the right of the escarpment. It is entirely post-glacial and its volume and extent is consistent with a pre-slip escarpment about 2000 feet east of its present position i.e. to the right. |
