Description: The south-west face of Canisp photographed from the Allt a' Ghlinne Dhorcha. The middle distance is the typical undulating Lewisian gneiss terrain onto which was deposited unconformably the Torridonian sandstone which makes up most of Canisp. The much lighter rock on the summit is the Cambrian Basal Quartzite, itself lying unconformably on the Torridonian.
