Description: | Oblique aerial view at The Storr, Skye. Looking south. Flat-bedded Tertiary basaltic lavas form a prominent cliff with landslipped material on the lower slopes. A rotational segment of this compound slip can be seen centre right. Older blocks lower down the slope have been reduced by movement and weathering to chaotic heaps of rubble. In the background separate layers of basaltic lava represent different flows. |
