Description: Stretton Sugwas gravel-pits, Hereford. Slumped kettle moraine gravel, Stretton Sugwas. A recumbent fold in deformed ill-sorted, poorly bedded, immature gravels of the Devensian kettle moraine. To the left of the photograph (above the hammer) a thin, red-brown, silt-sand bed is preserved as a vertically-dipping veneer along the horizontal axis of the fold.
