Description: Gravel-pit, Bodenham, Hereford. River Lugg fluvial gravels on fluvioglacial gravels, Bodenham Gravel Pit, 1982. The highest 1 to 2 m. of overall brown, ill-sorted gravel is of postglacial fluvial origin. It contains a thin bluish-grey clayey silt lens at the base containing shells. The lower reddish-brown, imbricated, ill-sorted gravels are a Devensian fluvioglacial outwash deposit.
