Sutherland. View eastwards. Suilven is a relict mountain of reddish-brown Torridonian sandstone with basal conglomerate resting unconformably on an irregular basement of Lewisian gneiss. Canisp is capped by Basal Cambrian Quartzite and intruded by porphyry sills. |
