Description: Oblique aerial view of Suilven showing the inselberg form of the mountain and the Lewisian-Torridonian unconformity. Sutherland. View looking north-west. Suilven, a relict mountain of reddish-brown Torridonian sandstone with basal conglomerate resting on an irregular basement of Lewisian gneiss. The Lewisian-Torridonian contact follows approximately the base of the screes and the line of the low cliffs at the right of the picture.
