The rocks are greywackes and siltstones of the Llandovery series folded by repeated broad flexures with an east-north-eastward trend. The complex syncline of Broadhaven Bay is well displayed on the left, the broad north-western limb continuing to the right, as the photograph suggests, across the two minor headlands. The foreground rocks are Lower Old Red Sandstone lavas of St. Abb's Head, separated from the greywackes by a north-west to south-east fault in the bay below. |
