Description: Greyfriars Bridge, Hereford. Looking NE. Hereford Cathedral and Wye Bridge. Hereford Cathedral stands on the southern limit of a broad spread of fluvioglacial gravel. The gravel is up to 9 m. thick under Hereford City with its upper surface about 5 m. above the level of the present day River Wye alluvium.
