Description: Oblique aerial view of Sgurr a' Mhaim looking north-west from Am Bodach. Folded Glencoe Quartzite, part of a much larger regional structure called the Kinlochleven Recumbent Anticline. Tightly folded quartzite with conspicuous bedding; bottom left-hand corner of main crag shows steeply-dipping synform/antiform pair. As the succession youngs from left to right the synform is obviously cored by older rocks, and so in a sense is an anticline; and vice versa with the antiform.
