Description: Ashdown Park, Lambourn. Looking N. Sarsens. In the asymmetric valley (the northward continuation of the Lambourn Valley) sarcens are extremely numerous in part of the grounds of Ashdown House. It is very noticeable that they only occur in fields which are not cultivated, or in the parkland. They are also most apparent where the 'Coombe Deposits' have been eroded.
