Description: Longthorpe, Peterborough. Western Primary Road. Excavation for the Western Primary Road extends down from the Cornbrash to the Blisworth Limestone. The Cornbrash is weathered to rubble and has been subjected to pocketing by cryoturbation. The clays of the Blisworth Clay occur in the cutting slopes. The floor lies in the Blisworth Limestone which is being excavated with difficulty.
