Description: | View to south-west from Balchraggan, looking to Dun Garbh and Dun Dearduil (left middle distance) and Meall Fuar-mhonaidh (right far distance beyond Loch Ness). Inverness-shire. Hills of Old Red Sandstone breccia and conglomerate. Low ground in foreground is formed of Old Red Sandstone fine-grained sandstone with some shale and siltstone. Dun Garbh and Dun Dearduil consist of granite-scree breccia resting on granodiorite of Foyers Complex. Hills beyond Loch Ness are mostly Old Red Sandstone conglomerate. |
