Description: Frettingham Lime Co. Pit, Caister St. Edmund. Looking E. Glacial sand and gravel at Caister St. Edmund. These well-bedded sands and gravels have replaced the Norwich Crag at this locality. The sands are cross-bedded and the gravels, which vary greatly in degree of coarseness and of sorting, contain igneous and metamorphic rocks as well as the typical flints.
