Description: Gravel and chalk-pit, Catton Grove. Looking SE. This exposure is sited at about the position of the western edge of the Crag Sea; it has been suggested that these well-bedded gravels are of Norwich Crag age, and represent a littoral facies. They are, however, dissimilar to the 'Bure Valley Beds' in having only a minor amount of quartz and quartzite pebbles. See A11134.
