Description: | View of Kelston Round Hill from Lansdown, near Bath. Looking WSW. The slopes of the valley in the foreground are composed for the most part of the broken, landslipped or foundered rocks, mainly Lower, Middle and Upper Lias clays and silts. The ridge beyond the valley is formed of cambered Inferior Oolite limestone on which an outlier of Fuller's Earth clay forms the prominent mound known as Kelston Round Hill. |
