| Description: | View from the A395 Camelford to Launceston road at 3/4 m. E. of Hallworthy. Looking S. Erosion surfaces surrounding Bodmin Moor. An ancient and somewhat degenerate erosion surface appears to occur at approximately 1000 ft. above sea level around Bodmin Moor. Later erosion has modified this surface into a gently undulating topography conforming to the pattern of rock outcrops. Rising above this surface on the horizon are the 'islands' of Brown Willy (left) and Rough Tor (right) formed of granite. |
