At the foot of the slope the belt of woodland in the middle distance is Budd's Copse, on the outcrop of the Horsham Stone, with many old bell-pits for clay ironstone. In the distance is the hilly St. Leonard's Forest area. Large fields sloping north are the dip-slope of a sandstone bed with extensive outcrop. |
