Description: | Moo Wick, Lamb Hoga, Fetlar. Shetland Isles. Transporting peats by boat. A stockpile of peat is higher up the beach. The cliffs are of flaggy quartz-felspathic gneiss which on the right-hand side of the photograph is altered to a sericitic kaolinized grit. The micaceous clayey material has accumulated in pockets of white greasy clay locally used for whitening. |
