View across Nant-y-garth from near summit of Mynydd-Cricor, showing some of the western spurs of the Clwydian Range and part of the Vale of Clwyd. The gorge of Nant-y-garth crosses the foreground. In distance (centre) spurs of the range north of Pant-Myharan. Main range further to left. In left middle distance is the wooded hill of Graig-fechan, formed of Carboniferous Limestone faulted against the Lower Ludlow rocks of the range by the Vale of Clwyd Fault, which traverses the hollow to the right of the hill.
