Description: |
Aiuuk Bivouack, 6,500 feet above sea level. One of the scenic camps in the Bakht-i-ari mountains of Persia. Kuh-i-Kainu behind, is about 12,000 feet high and carries patches of snow during most of the year. this is how it looked on June 3rd, 1930. In spite of the height, mosquitos thrive, hence the erections over the camp beds to carry the sandfly nets. |
