Description: View from Cairngorm. Looking south. Inverness-shire. Loch Etchachan (in centre) a high-level corrie lochan (altitude 975 m.). Derry Cairngorm behind and slightly to the right. Ben Macdui on the right. The loch is partly moraine-dammed but to a great extent a rock basin. Disintegrating granite blocks weathering out in situ in foreground forming a blockfield, the result of frost and ground-ice weathering.
