Description: East Pit, Parys Mountain. Looking ENE. Just left of No. A1240. Silicification obliterating cleavage in Silurian shale. Cleavage survives in upper part. Massive silicified parts below and to right, and in them, old cleavage planes filled with thin quartz-pyrite veins. Llandovery graptolites occur in this silicified crag.
