Description: | Cligga Head. Looking N. A general view of Cligga Head. Shows the whole of the granite section at Cligga Head and also a considerable amount of the metamorphosed killas. The point of the headland is composed of the granite which shows the 'stratification' very clearly. Farther south the divisional planes curve over to form an anticline and are then bent again to form a syncline. The remainder of the picture to the right (south) is occupied by the altered killas. |
