Description: | Southern end of Widemouth Sand, 400 yd. N. of Wanson Mouth. Looking SE. Anticline in Bude Sandstone Group. Prominent anticlinal structure by 14 ft. sandstone units. The axial plane is slightly overturned to the north and the inner 6 ft. sandstone band can be seen to be reverse-faulted, the fracture plane dipping northwards. A major northwesterly trending dextral wrench-fault occupies the gulley at the right margin of the photograph. |
