Looking west along Glen Coe from above the mountain rescue post, immediate foreground is granite which is in faulted contact with lava pile of the Glen Coe cauldron subsidence forming remainder of crags. Line of fault approximately between river and road. The Glen Coe cauldron subsidence floundered into the magma chamber of the Cruachan Granite. |
